Tessera Fusion
Tessera Fusion
Deuterium-helium-3 with direct energy recovery and no steam cycle. Accredited investors only.
Deuterium-helium-3 releases most of its energy as charged particles rather than neutrons, which means the energy can in principle be recovered electrostatically instead of by boiling water. That eliminates the turbine, the steam plant and much of the neutron damage problem. It also requires higher temperatures than deuterium-tritium and a helium-3 supply that does not meaningfully exist on Earth.

TRL assessment
3
Technology readiness level, 1 to 9
Confidence band 2.3 – 3.7
Plasma compression to the design field has been demonstrated and independently instrumented, which establishes proof of principle for the confinement scheme and places this at level 3. Fusion conditions have not been sustained. The helium-3 fuel supply is the structural problem: global availability is measured in grams, so even a complete engineering success would face a fuel question with no current answer.
At TRL 3, the ladder permits SAFE or Convertible note and releases up to 15% of committed capital. This offering is structured as a convertible note, which is consistent with that band.

Evidence
Every score cites the documents it was derived from, with the weight each carried. An assessment without evidence is an opinion.

A score changes on the day a reviewer signs a new assessment, which is why this is a step line rather than a curve.
